On Saturday October 12 at the Perfect 10 Miler, your trusted New Jersey movers at Simonik Transportation & Warehousing helped provide for hungry families along with Move for Hunger. We provided the necessary boxes and transported 460 pounds of food from the event to the St. Vincent DePaul food bank in Medford, NJ.
Every week, approximately 12,000 people in South Jersey need emergency food just to get by – and 39% are children. Donating non-perishable food item such as peanut butter, salad dressing, canned meat and vegetables, and baby formula can help ease the lives of these families struggling to get by.
Providing transportation of collected food items helps local pantries such as St. Vincent’s save money and resources so they can concentrate fully on feeding people in need. At Simonik, we’re proud to be of service! We’d like to give special thanks to Ray Pettus, our dedicated Sales Consultant, for sacrificing his Sunday to pick up and transport donated items on our behalf. When our community needs us, our qualified movers are always here to help!
