We at Simonik are excited to share our newest endeavor with you. As the pandemic has progressed, we have seen too many families who do not have enough to eat - right here in our own zip code. In an effort to help out with this problem locally, we have paired up with Move For Hunger, a nationally recognized hunger relief non-profit organization.
Here's how it works: our movers work with realtors to pick up unwanted, non-perishable food items that would otherwise be discarded during their client’s move. They then deliver it to their local food banks.
Since becoming one of Move For Hunger’s partner moving companies, Simonik Transportation & Warehousing Group, LLC. has delivered nearly 6,000 pounds of food, which equates to over 4,900 meals for people in need! With 1 in 7 children in New Jersey going to bed hungry each night, we would like to continue providing for our neighbors in need and would greatly appreciate your support. We ask that you hand out this flyer to your clients as they approach their upcoming move.
With your help, Move For Hunger and their partners are able to make sure that much needed food is delivered year-round to local food banks in communities across the U.S. and Canada. To date, our partners have delivered nearly 15 million pounds of food to local food banks, providing over 12 million meals for people in need!
Move For Hunger is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that works with relocation companies to collect non-perishable food items, and deliver it to food banks all across North America. By teaming up with relocation companies across the country, Move For Hunger is creating one of the nation’s largest year-round service programs.
